Sarkozy reaffirms to Algiers French position about the Sahara

The French president Nicolas Sarkozy reaffirmed on Monday to the Algerian president Abdelaziz bouteflika, the French position concerning the Sahara , pointed out a diplomatic French source. During the talks between the two heads of states which took place during the first day of the state visit of president Sarkozy, the same diplomatic source specified that the question of Sahara was mentioned, and that the position of France has not changed.

Mr Hassan Abouayoub the itinerant ambassador of His Majesty king Mohamed VI underlined that there is no other way out to the Sahara conflict, apart from a substantial autonomy proposed by Morocco " I do not see any way out to this question, but a substantial autonomy proposed by Morocco.
