Corcas delegation continues its meetings in Madrid

The delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, headed by its chairman Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, continued talks on Monday and Tuesday in Madrid with many politicians, parliamentarians and trade union officials. During the meetings, Mr. Ould Errachid explained to his interlocutors the philosophy behind the setting up of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, and its composition which reflects the reality of the Saharan in addition to its tasks, which include the development of a scheme of self-government for the Sahara to put an end to this conflict which has lasted more than 30 years

Corcas Chairman: Autonomy is equal to self-determination

Asharq Al Awsat : the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, said autonomy plan in the Sahara proposed by Morocco «is equal to self-determination”, which will put an end to the conflict and the sufferings of Sahrawis in Tindouf in south-western Algeria.

The autonomy project in the Sahara that Morocco will submit to the United Nations next October is "inspired" by the Spanish model, as confirmed by Khalihenna Ould Errachid, the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (corcas), the body created by Mohammed VI last March to search for a way out, suitable to a union, to the old dispute over the former Spanish colony.

Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid rejected categorically allegations published by Spanish newspapers saying that the U.S. Department of State refused to receive the Council  delegation in Washington.
