Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid meets with the Secretary-General of the General Workers Union in the Canary Islands

 In a meeting with the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs and his accompanying delegation, the Secretary-General of the workers Union in the Canary Islands expressed her willingness to make the necessary efforts to bridge the gap between the parties concerning autonomy, especially after the removal within the United Nations of the possibility to hold a referendum of self-determination.

Council delegation holds discussions with the Deputy Government Delegate of Las Palmas

Corcas delegation met on Thursday in Las Palmas with Ms Carolina Daria, Deputy Government Representative of the Canary Islands in the framework of a tour to the Canary Islands and the Regional Government of Andalusia from 01 to 07 June, to explain the Moroccan initiative to grant autonomy to the southern provinces under Moroccan sovereignty, and to use the Spanish experience in the application of the expanded system of self-government.

Council delegation meets with Canary Islands government delegate

The delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, chaired by Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid and his accompanying delegation met on Thursday with Mr Jose Segura, Government representative as part of a tour to the Canary Islands and the Regional Government of Andalusia from 01 to 07 June, to explain the Moroccan initiative to grant the southern regions an expanded self-rule under Moroccan sovereignty, and to benefit from the Spanish experience in the application of the expanded system of self-government.

Khalihenna: We will work to end the tragedy of our Sahrawi brothers on the other side of the Algerian border in Tindouf

The President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Ould Errachid Khalihn said Thursday in Las Palmas that the autonomy proposed by Morocco is "the best and only solution" to the Sahara conflict, highlighting that this solution would serve the interests of the Canary Islands.
