At the same visit to Washington, the delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs met with Senator Richard Lugar, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the American Senate and his team of advisers : Chris Stephens, Scott Teijer, Taluer Bennett, Joseph Biden, Perry Kamak.

Corcas delegation talked with Rep. Jim Kolbe Chairman of foreign-oriented budget in the House of Representatives, during the meeting, he was briefed about the functions and objectives of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs.

At the headquarters of the U.S. Congress, a delegation from Corcas, met with Mr. Ed Royce, member of the International Relations Committee and former Chairman of the Commission for Africa. Khalihennna Ould Errachid briefed him about the functions and objectives of the Council, and at the same time stressed the need to find a solution to this conflict which has lasted long in this region of Africa and put an end to the suffering of the Saharan population.
