As part of the periodic meetings between the Royal Armed Forces and the United Nations Mission in the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone met on Thursday at the Headquarters of the Southern Zone Staff in Agadir with Major General Fakhrul Ahsan, Commander of the UN Mission in the Kingdom's Southern Provinces.

In an atmosphere of overflowing national enthusiasm and ongoing mobilization, the Moroccan people—along with the women and men of the national movement, the resistance, and the Liberation Army—commemorate, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the 72nd anniversary of the glorious Revolution of the King and the People. This epic event embodied the most magnificent images of unity in the national struggle waged by the loyal Moroccan people, under the leadership of the noble Alaouite Throne, for the freedom, independence, and unity of the nation.

Amidst an atmosphere of overflowing national enthusiasm and comprehensive and ongoing national mobilization, the Moroccan people, along with the resistance family and the Liberation Army, will commemorate tomorrow, Thursday, the 46th anniversary of the recovery of the Oued Eddahab Province. This remarkable historical event embodies a heroic epic in the journey to complete national independence and achieve territorial integrity.

Peruvian journalist Ricardo Sanchez Serra, Vice President of the Peruvian Journalists' Union, asserted that US President Donald Trump's reaffirmation of his country's recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara consolidates the "historic alliance" with the Kingdom of Morocco, which dates back to the independence of the United States.
