Jordan has voiced support to Morocco's territorial integrity and to the north African country's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern Provinces, known as the Sahara, in a bid to solve the 32-year old dispute over this territory.

The autonomy proposal Morocco is devising for its southern provinces, the Sahara, is a form of self-determination which provides a political solution in line with the international legality, stressed, here Tuesday, the Moroccan justice minister.

First Secretary of the French Socialist party (PS), François Hollande, said here Tuesday it is necessary to find a political solution to the Sahara conflict "which has been going on for 30 years and that uselessly separate Algeria and Morocco."

Bahrain and Yemen expressed, on Saturday, their support to Morocco's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to the Sahara -Morocco's southern provinces- under its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and settle the three-decade-long dispute with the Algeria-backed Polisario separatists.

A Moroccan ministerial delegation visited Monday the Tunisian capital to explain to President Zine Eddine Ben Ali Morocco's plan to grant autonomy to its Southern Provinces and solve the three-decade-long dispute over the control of the territory with an Algeria-backed separatists known as the Polisario.
