Vice-Speaker of the House of Representatives: Colombia supports Morocco's territorial integrity and autonomy plan

The Sahara issue has been the focus of an interview on Monday in Rabat, between the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Khalihenna Ould Errachid, and Colombian parliamentary delegation, led by Vice-President the House of Representatives, Carlos Andres Amaya Rodriguez.

Following the adoption by the UN Security Council of the resolution on the Moroccan Sahara, the spokesman of the Royal palace, Mr Abdelhak Lamrini, read out on Thursday the following statement:

Morocco's rejection of the proposal to extend MINURSO mandate to include human rights is based on legal, political and human rights considerations, said Monday in Rabat, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Saad El Dine Otmani.

The German parliament (Bundestag) turned down on Thursday a proposal from two major opposition parties calling for Germany’s support to a proposal to extend the mandate of the UN Sahara mission (MINURSO) to human rights issues.

Spain deems "unsustainable" the proposal by the United States to expand (MINURSO) mandate to include human rights monitoring, said Spanish newspaper "El Pais".
