The European Union called on Sunday for a final, lasting and mutually acceptable political settlement for the Sahara issue.

Morocco's southern provinces are a top priority of regionalization and a crucial goal of the reform initiated by the Kingdom at the legal and institutional levels, Justice minister Mohamed Naciri said on Tuesday.

Morocco is determined to continue efforts and cooperation with the UN in order to overcome obstacles resulting from the radical and hostile positions of adversaries of the Kingdom's territorial integrity, Foreign Minister Taïb Fassi Fihri said on Thursday.

Considering the proposal of the other party in the informal preparatory meeting for the 5th round of negotiations, held on February 10-11 in Armonk, NY, "does not mean a concession from Morocco," Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said.

Morocco reiterated, during the second informal talks on the Sahara, which were held on February 10-11 in Armonk, in the outskirts of New York, its willingness to negotiate a realistic and feasible solution on the basis of the autonomy Initiative.
