The Republic of Burundi reiterated on Friday its constant and unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region.

UN Security Council Resolution 2797 "is not just another resolution. It is an unprecedented political verdict and a roadmap for definitively resolving" the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, stated Ambassador Omar Hilale, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations, on Tuesday in New York.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), represented by Saadani Maoulainine and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate, is participating, as part of the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco, in the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), which began on Monday, June 5, and will be held until July 7, 2026, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
