The Republic of Ecuador reaffirmed on Friday its support for the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco in 2007, describing it as the only serious, credible, and realistic resolution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, affirmed, on Thursday in Rabat, the new European position on the Moroccan Sahara, considering that "genuine autonomy could represent a most feasible outcome" for a final resolution to the regional dispute.

The Gabonese Republic reiterated on Tuesday its support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara, welcoming the historic adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797.

A conference under the theme "Moroccan Sahara: The struggle for territorial integrity", organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom in Toulouse (France) and led by the Director of the Royal Institute for Research on the History of Morocco, Rahal Boubrik, highlighted the historical and legal foundations of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita received on Friday in Rabat Leslie Mbula, Special Envoy of President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema, bearing a message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
