The President of Burkina Faso and Gabon have renewed this week on the occasion of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, their support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and autonomy plan as a final solution to the conflict over the Sahara .

The autonomy proposal is the only solution and the most appropriate option to end the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, said in Laayoune Sunday elected officials from the region of Laayoune - Boujdour - Saqiat el Hamra in a meeting with a delegation of the Socialist and Democratic Group at the European Parliament.

Morocco’s autonomy plan proposed to resolve the Sahara issue is a "very insightful, diplomatic and human" response that the international community should support further, said Wednesday the U.S. congresman Michael Grimm.

Morocco's efforts in terms of transparency and openness will help advance the process of settlement of the Sahara issue , said Monday in Rabat, the British Under Secretary of State for the international security strategy, Andrew Murrison , who is on a working visit to the Kingdom.

Representatives of the Royal advisory  council for Saharan   affairs  Saadani Maouelainine  and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat , who are taking part among the Moroccan delegation  in the 24th session of the UN  Human rights  council in Geneva, have started an intense  work , particularly  by means of meetings with other delegations and the participation in the round tables ,and debates held in the margins of  the session .
