Since the beginning of this summer, it has been noticed that the supply of water for the retained sahraouis forbidden to join their homeland in the camps of: laayoune, Smara, Ausserd, Dakhla, and twenty seven, situated in the outskirt of Tindouf is done, for the first time by the Algerian army tanks instead of tanks given by humanitarian organizations to the Polisario front.

Ould Errachid: “Autonomy is a political solution which takes into account all positions"

The Moroccan initiative for autonomy for the Sahara region is a consensual political solution which takes into consideration positions of all parties, after the apparent failure of previous attempts for a settlement of this conflict. These attempts which proved to be inapplicable, affirmed Mr Khalihenna ould Errachid chairman of the royal advisory council for Saharan affairs (CORCAS).

The United States on Monday said it was "pleased" that Morocco and the Algerian-backed separatists movement "Polisario" met again in attempt to reach a final solution to the 32-year-old dispute over the Sahara, insisting that a "meaningful autonomy is promising and realistic way forward."

Morocco confident and optimist, regrets the stiff position of the other party

Members of the Moroccan delegation to the second round of the Sahara negotiations which took place the 10th and11th of august   at Manhasset, suburb of Newyork, expressed their optimism, and confidence in the on going process, regretting the stiff position of the other party.
