The Foreign Office minister in charge of Middle East and North Africa, Mr Ivan Lewis, said Tuesday in Casablanca, that his country welcomes the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the Sahara, and supports the efforts made by the envoy of the Secretary General of the UN in charge of the Sahara issue.

The Network of Arab Liberals underlined, here on Monday, the need to "reach a final settlement of the Sahara issue under Morocco's sovereignty and territorial unity".

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) singled out Algeria for its interference in the family visits exchange program, led by the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), between the camps of Tindouf and the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
