Resolution 1813, adopted recently by the UN Security Council on the Sahara issue, "is largely in favour" of Morocco, said Wednesday the president of the National Assembly (First Parliament House) of Gabon, Mr. Guy Nzouba Ndama. 

The Mauritanian Democratic Socialist Party called on Tuesday the international community and regional and international humanitarian organizations to carry out an investigation to clarify the fate of 150 Mauritanian nationals missing in the Tindouf camps in southern Algeria.

A delegation from the southern provinces of the Kingdom began Monday, a visit to the Canary Islands, to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperative relations between the Spanish archipelago and this region of southern Morocco.

Participants at a conference on the Sahara held Friday evening in Amsterdam, have highlighted the positive momentum initiated by the Moroccan autonomy initiative and its relevance as the only solution able to reunite Sahrawi families.

The Sahara conflict, which was inherited from the Cold War, has no meaning today in the 21st century, European Parliament Member Fernando Fernandez Martin, said here Thursday.
