Members of the autonomous parliament of Sicily, also members of the Parliamentary Morocco Sicily Friendship Group, welcomed the establishment by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Advisory Committee on Regionalization (ACR).

There is no link between regionalisation and the autonomy proposal put forward by Morocco for its southern provinces, the Sahara, Abdelhamid El Ouali, member of the Advisory Committee on regionalization, said.

Morocco's autonomy project for the Sahara is a political solution which is in conformity with the international legality and in line with the principle of self-determination since it gives broad prerogatives to local populations, Egyptian news agency MENA said on Saturday.
