The President of the autonomous government of Catalonia, Mr. Jose Montilla said Wednesday in Rabat that his Government was in favour of a consensual political solution based on the Moroccan initiative autonomy in the Sahara issue.

President of the autonomous government of Catalonia, José Montilla, stressed, on Thursday, that Morocco's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern Provinces, the Sahara, is a "starting point" towards solving the Sahara issue.

Mr. Jose Obdulio Gaviria Velez, top adviser to the Columbian head of state, who met on Tuesday with Mr. Khalihenna OULD ERRACHID, Corcas cahirman in Rabat, has described as a "serious and credible" the Moroccan proposal to grant autonomy to the Kingdom’s southern provinces.
