Corcas holds its 2008 2nd regular session in Rabat

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, in accordance with Articles 7 and 8 of Dahir number 1.06.81, issued on 24 Safar 1427, corresponding to 25 March 2006 on the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, announced that the second regular session of the Council for 2008 will be held on 26 and 27 Dou Lhija 1429, corresponding to 25 and 26 December 2008 in Rabat.

Khalihenna Ould Errachid said that Morocco, like the international community insists on the need for the next round of negotiations on the Sahara, to be a “serious and deep” step in order to reach final settlement of this issue, which can only be autonomy, as unique option."

Khalihenna: next negotiation round should be serious

"The Royal Advisory Council was founded by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI in Laâyoun on March 25th, 2006. It's a Royal organization which aims at preparing the psycological, political, diplomatic, economic and social environment for the implementation of a final solution for the Sahara issue relating to the autonomy under the Moroccan sovereignty. We have started indeed  working in these different fields"

King denounces suffering, humiliation of the Moroccans held in Tindouf camps

King Mohammed VI denounced the humiliation and suffering inflicted upon Moroccan citizens held in the Polisario-run Tindouf camps, Algeria in "gross violation of the basic principles of international humanitarian law."
