The last resolution of the UN Security Council on the Sahara, extending MINURSO mandate, is "a setback for Algerian diplomacy," according to the Spanish electronic site "Nuevatribuna.es".

Polisario, a destabilizing factor in the region, does not transmit international aid to populations in camps and violates MINURSO mandate, said Wednesday the Swedish news website Ledarsidorna.

The notoriously partial stances by the African Union (AU) in favor of Algeria and its creation “the Polisario” strip it from any credibility or legitimacy to assume any role concerning the Moroccan Sahara issue, said, on Tuesday in New York, Morocco’s ambassador to the UN Omar Hilale.

The final statement of the 60th Afro-Asian Bandung Conference, held April 18 -19 in Kathmandu under theme " Bandung Vision, 60 later: Responding to New Challenges", praised the autonomy plan for Sahara, under Moroccan sovereignty as "reasonable" and "peaceful".

The 2nd Franco-Moroccan Parliamentary Forum, held in Paris Thursday, welcomed the "constant position" of the French authorities concerning the Moroccan Sahara issue, in favor of a political settlement.
