An amendment to a draft report on human rights and the European Union’s policy presented by handful of anti-Moroccan members of the European parliament on the Sahara was rejected on Monday by the majority of their peers.

The Canario-Saharan Forum, an association based in Las Palmas and brings together citizens of the Moroccan Sahara and Canary Islands, denounced on Monday embezzlement by leaders of Polisario and Algeria of humanitarian aid to populations in camps Tindouf (southern Algeria).
