Mrs. Maouelainin Saâdani calls for an end to systematic violation of human rights in Tindouf camps in Algeria

Mrs. Saadani Maouelainin, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, participated Monday in Geneva at a meeting on "the rights of women and children in conflict areas in Kashmir and West and Central Africa" during 28th Session of the Human Rights of the United Nations in which the Council is participating March 02-27 within the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco.

France reiterated its support for the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco as a serious and credible basis for a negotiated solution to the Sahara issue, said a joint French-Moroccan statement issued on the occasion of the working visit paid to Morocco by France’s foreign minister Laurent Fabius.

The Crans Montana Forum "will be held in Dakhla, Morocco," said Friday in Rabat, president of this prestigious institution, Jean-Paul Carteron, noting that attacks by opponents of the territorial integrity of Morocco are part of the "buzz". "Obviously we're in Dakhla, Morocco," said Mr. Carteron at a press conference in Rabat for the presentation of this forum and its program, welcoming the "huge" efforts made by Morocco for the development of this city, "one of the most beautiful parts of the world."

Morocco condemned, on Tuesday before the UNHRC, the human rights abuse of populations in the camps of Tindouf, reiterating its call to conduct a census and lift the blockade imposed on them.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs takes part in the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco in the twenty-eighth session of the Human Rights Council, which started its proceedings Monday second day of March at the Conference Palace in Geneva.
