Morocco was brilliantly elected today by the UN General Assembly, against Algeria, to the post of Vice-President of the 4th Committee, in charge of decolonization. This victory comes after election of the Vice-Presidency of the General Assembly.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, represented by its Vice-Chairman Khaddad El Moussaoui, participated with  the Moroccan delegation in the works of this special committee to study the application of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Countries and colonial peoples, also known as the Committee of 24. 

Saadani Maouelainin, member of the Royal Advisory Council on Saharan Affairs (Corcas), paid a working visit to Mexico on May 12, in particular in the federal capital of Mexico City and Campeche south-east of Mexico.

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council on Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, met on Friday May 19, 2017 with Malaysian Senate speaker Vigneswaran Sanassee, who is currently visiting Morocco at the head of a large delegation.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas), represented by Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat, participated in the Moroccan delegation to the presentation of Morocco's national report on the 3rd cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), which took place on 2 May 2017 in Geneva.
