The UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for the Sahara, Horst Kohler, will start Saturday a ten-day visit to the region, the UN announced on Thursday.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs participates with the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco at the thirty-eighth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council which takes place from June 18 to July 6, 2018, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid,met on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Council's headquarters with Walter Harms, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Paraguay.

The issue of the Moroccan Sahara is a question of territorial integrity and not of "decolonization", said Morocco’s permanent representative to the United Nations, ambassador Omar Hilale, who was speaking at the C24 session in New York.

The kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Nigeria issued a joint communiqué following the official working and friendship visit to the Kingdom by Nigerian President, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, on June 10-11.
