The Sheikhs (tribal leaders) of the Sahrawi tribes voiced their full and unconditional support for the Kingdom's efforts to restore free civil and commercial movement in the Guergarate crossing.

The operation carried out by the Royal Armed Forces on Friday morning, upon the Very High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff, in order to restore free movement at the El Guergarate crossing, took place in a "peaceful manner, without clashes or threat to the safety of civilians," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad.

Faced with the serious and unacceptable provocations of the “Polisario” militias in the buffer zone of Guergarate in the Moroccan Sahara, “Morocco has decided to act, in accordance with its attributions, its duties and in full compliance with international legality," the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad said on Friday.

The Republic of Kiribati affirmed before the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative which constitutes "the only significant, credible and pragmatic path" towards a final solution to this regional dispute.

The Republic of Guinea expressed, Friday before the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccanity of the Sahara and for the autonomy initiative presented by the Kingdom as a "compromise solution in accordance with international law".
