The European Union (EU) has once again confirmed in its annual report, published on Wednesday, that the population of the southern provinces of the Kingdom fully benefits from the agreements concluded between Morocco and the EU.

The Kingdom of Morocco welcomes the positive statements and constructive stances recently expressed by the new Federal Government of Germany, said the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad.

The autonomy plan presented by Morocco in 2007 to definitively close the artificial conflict over its Sahara is "viable and realistic" and presents all the guarantees to resolve this dispute, stressed the participants in a conference held in Las Palmas.

The Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has reiterated its unwavering position and decisions in support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara and the preservation of the security and stability of Morocco and its territorial integrity.

The autonomy plan constitutes "an important contribution" from Morocco to resolve the dispute over the Sahara, says the German Federal Foreign Office on Monday in a statement.
