''This position is not contradictory with what the international community says,'' said Mr. Mahraoui in a statement released Tuesday by "Chaîne Inter" Radio.
Polisario’s official has chosen Morocco to make these statements about the situation in Tindouf and to speak freely on the issue because he cannot do it where he is, said Mahraoui, adding that "If today, this position is the one of Polisario and Algeria officials, I think we are moving towards something very positive."
Mr. Mustapha Ould Salma Sidi Mouloud described as "good initiative" the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco to settle the Sahara issue.
"Autonomy is a good initiative. This is the best possible solution" to the Sahara issue, said Polisario senior leader during a press conference Monday in Smara.
Ould Salma Sidi Mouloud engaged to defend these positions among the populations sequestered in Tindouf, whatever the cost.
"I oversee, through my office, all prisons in Tindouf and I am not afraid to go there to express and defend my positions," he argued.
