After the presentation byMr. Khalihenna  Ould Errachid, the Secretary General of the Federation thanked the Corcas for coming to present its views on the issue of the Sahara; he then provided a brief overview of the Spanish Protectorate in the southern regions of Morocco.

The union official talked about the then Spanish feeling to organize self-determination under direct control of the United Nations, the absence of a clear determination for a political agreement and Spain’s withdrawal of  its position towards the United Nations resolutions in this regard.
 
He also promised to study and discuss the subject at the next meeting with Polisario.
