Autonomy, only realistic , fair and equitable solution "

Ms. Hajabouha Zoubeir member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs and President of the Moroccan Association of Women Entrepreneurs for development, said that autonomy for the southern regions of the Kingdom, "which engaged all Sahrawis is the only  realistic fair and equitable solution" to the Sahara.

During a conference on the status of women in Morocco organized in Strasbourg (eastern France) on the initiative of the Al Maghrib Al Motaharrek Coalition, Obour Association and the Center for Information on the rights of women and family, Mrs. al-Zoubeir said that the Moroccan initiative to authorize broad autonomy for the southern provinces has the total support of the Saharawis and that it is "the only realistic, fair and equitable solution " to the conflict, which "has prolonged."

On the other hand, she addressed "the development of women and girls, thanks to the generalized education system taken by Morocco, which doubled dramatically the number of school attendance including a large number of girls."

In this context, Ms. Zoubeir highlighted the great efforts made by the Kingdom in this area, adding that a small number of girls were able to access to the baccalaureate level in the Spanish colonial era, while there are now tens of thousands of Saharans who have completed primary, secondary and university education.
