 Bulgarian vice-prime minister, minister of foreign affairs, M. Ivailo Kalfin, reiterated, here Wednesday, his country's support to Morocco in endeavoring towards a negotiated solution to the Sahara dispute.



 In a meeting with Moroccan secretary of state in charge of foreign affairs, Kalfin voiced hope that the appointment of a new personal envoy of the UN Secretary-General will contribute to making substantial progress in this issue, insisting that the persistence of this dispute undermines stability and security in the region.

    The Bulgarian official underlined the importance of regional integration as a means of development, citing the successful example of his country's integration with its neighbors, mainly Romania, Greece and Turkey.

    He also commended the role of Morocco in promoting Euro-Mediterranean  cooperation and the democratic, economic and social breakthroughs achieved by the kingdom which enabled it to get an advanced status with the European Union.

    Akharbach briefed Kalfin on the latest developments in the national cause and recalled Morocco’s commitment for Maghreb integration as a means towards development and prosperity in the region countries.
