The latest report of the international NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) on the Sahara is selective and ignores the case of children of Tindouf camps expatriates in Cuba and the Moroccans expelled from Algeria, said the Director of Management Systems International for Morocco, a U.S. consultancy firm.

The report also presents an important methodological problem," said the expert, Lahcen Haddad, saying it is based on testimonies of victims in the Tindouf camps collected in four days, a period insufficient to verify evidence".

Speaking at a panel discussion at the headquarters of the American Bar Association (American Bar Association-ABA), Mr. Haddad noted that the HRW document has not " made enough to see if there is actually some manipulation and exploitation of the issue of human rights. "

Mr. Haddad has also regretted that some activists of human rights encourage acts of violence, mentioning in this regard Aminatou Haidar which "encourages the use of violence."

The expert, who deplored the deliberate provocation of some activists "to incite violence, create situations of human rights and exploit this issue for political purposes," emphasized that the human rights practice must be in compliance with law.
