Major Event

The investigation conducted under the supervision of prosecutors about an alleged abduction of a minor by police in Smara revealed that the story is fabricated and is the result of hidden parties working for separatists, according to an authorized source.

The minor in question claimed at first, in his deposition in the presence of his father that he had been kidnapped by a police car, December 18, before retracting and citing unknown people, adds the same source.

According to the same source, an investigation led by the judicial police under the supervision of prosecutors and in the presence of the father of this minor, revealed that this case is fabricated by hidden parties for the benefit of separatists.

A medical examination showed that the girl hadn’t been subjected to any form of violence and her body showed sign of torture, contrary to what she said at the hearing by elements of the judicial police, adds the same source, referring to apparent contradictions in the girl’s statements.

Several witnesses also cited by the minor, have refuted the allegations of the complainant, whose father himself was surprise by the contradictory statements of his daughter, excluding any link of the police with the abduction of the minor.

An investigation is underway to identify instigators of these maneuvers and machinations that are part of a predetermined ploy by a party committed to misleading ends to serve separatist aims, by affecting the image of security services in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
