In a statement to “MAP” at the end of the signature’s ceremony c concerning a protocol of friendship and cooperation between both   Rabat and las Palmas’s town halls, Mr saavedra Acevedo called “the Polisario leadership to show proof of realism” and to contribute to the “negotiation of a formula allowing the return of persons who live in harsh and difficult conditions in Tindouf camps” to their homeland.

In the same context, Mr Saavedra Acevedo is hopeful to see Algeria changing its position concerning the Sahara issue, and show proof of “flexibility and realism”

After having shown his appreciation to the development that the southern provinces of the kingdom knows, the mayor of Las Palmas confirmed that autonomy “is an appropriate solution” to solve the Sahara issue
