In a press release published at the end of the Union's 11th meeting (24-27 November) on " freedom for the press: protection of the journalist", the AJU also voiced support for the negotiation process under the aegis of the United Nations in order to reach a lasting solution to the Sahara dispute within the framework of "Morocco's sovereignty on all its territories".

   The meeting also denounced the continuation of the Spanish occupation of the two Moroccan cities Sebta and Melillia and neighbouring islets.
