"Al Moharir Al Arbi" weekly appearing in Beirut, criticized the position of Algeria regarding the issue of Morocco’s territorial unity, stressing that through its support to the Polisario, Algeria positioned as "part of separatism, fragmentation and disintegration of ranks".

The weekly wrote this week that "it is sad to notice Algeria, a country of one million martyrs, freedom, unity and Arab union, becoming home for the supporters of separatism".

The political editor of the magazine stresses that the Polisario wants, under the label of independence, to separate a part of Morocco saying that the Arab world has long suffered and still suffers from the consequences of fragmentation.

Arab politics of Algeria, the author continues, "favour division and fragmentation as well as secession of a part of Moroccan territory under incomprehensible independence."

The weekly stresses that the Sahara is an integral part of Morocco and that any support to separatism could be used to build other calls for separatism which are latent in a divided Arab world.

The author conclude that a day will come when some people or regions of Algeria will claim separatism and independence, questioning "whether we should support such a claim."

"It is not allowed to play with sacred causes and constants," says the paper, noting that "the Moroccan Sahara is indeed part of these constants and sacred causes."
