In response to a question on the forthcoming visit to Morocco of the U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice, Mr. Naciri stressed at a press briefing Thursday at the end of the Governing Council that "the positions of American diplomacy on this issue, including the Security Council, show that the American administration knows very well all aspects of this issue".

The American diplomacy "knows perfectly well that there are two parties who do not adopt the same positive attitude towards this issue and that one party, Morocco, had the courage and ability to propose new approaches to resolving this issue, "he said.

"We believe that American diplomacy will take advantage of this approach in this matter to find a way-out of the impasse that the other parties want to keep," added the minister.
