A delegation representing the victims of the serious human rights violations committed by the Polisario separatists, currently visiting London, has called the international community to emergently act in order to end up the agony of the sequestered populations in Tindouf camps (South-West of Algeria).

The delegation members, Mr. Mostapha Bouh, ex-leader of the Polisario, Mr. Mohamed Lkabch and Mrs. Rbiaa Azeuini, former prisoners and Miss Saadani Maaelainine, victim of transportation to Cuba, have described, during a meeting with the press on Thursday evening, the agony they have endured during their imprisonment in the jails of the Polisario in Tindouf camps, on the Algerian territory.

They have explained that their visit to London is part of the efforts aiming at unveiling to the public opinion the real truth of the Polisario, which does not hesitate to opt for the most cruel methods so as to eliminate any opinion going against its separatist goals.

The international public opinion, including the British one, has to know the truth prevailing in Tindouf camps and the dramatic humanitarian situation endured by thousands of Moroccan Sahrawis retained against their will by the Polisario junta, have indicated the delegation members.

The Polisario, under the pressure of the Algerian mentors, tries to make continue the artificial conflict created around the territorial integrity of Morocco, have the delegation members emphasized, explaining that the Polisario does not have any kind of political visibility for a solution.

Within this context, the delegation members have denounced the Polisario ‘s tactics aiming at exploiting the sequestered populations’ suffering in order to attract more international support.

The delegation members have stated that they would tackle, with their British interlocutors,  besides the dramatic situation prevailing in Tindouf camps, the recent developments relating to the Sahara issue in the light of the autonomy proposal presented by Morocco.

In this regard, they have stressed that the Moroccan project has been favorably welcomed by the great powers who have considered the Moroccan proposal an opportunity to make a step forward towards a final settlement of the Sahara issue and to open new perspectives for the integration in the Arab Maghreb region.

The delegation members have also insisted on denouncing the hostile campaign led by Algeria and the Polisario against the personal representative of the UN General Secretary, Mr. Peter Van Walsum, for having drawn a report reflecting the  reality, stating namely that the Sahara independence is an unrealistic option.

During the meeting, Mrs. Azeuini, Miss Maalainine and Mr. Lkabch have revealed desolate testimonies about their own experiences.

Miss Maalainine has notably recounted how she was taken by force from her family when she was 17 years old to be sent to Cuba.

She has stressed that thousands of Sahrawi children have undergone the same fate, explaining that the Polisario wants through this forced transportation policy, particularly the indoctrination of children via their continuous submission to its propaganda.

This policy enables also separatists to make pressures over the families and to break their links with the homeland, Morocco, she said, stressing the fact that the Polisario junta will never succeed in destroying the indefectible attachment having always existed between the Sahrawis and Morocco.

Mme Azeuini, has described these long years of suffering and arbitrary imprisonment in the Polisario jails, pointing out that the international community should interfere in order to clarify the fate of hundreds of Sahrawis, missing in Tindouf camps.

The delegation members will take advantage of their stay in the British capital to hold meetings with the high officials of the British Ministry for Foreign Affairs and  with Amnesty International, as well as with the British NGO representatives.
