 The Kingdom's positions are characterized by responsibility and reliability regarding respect for the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of other UN member states
The Ambassador of His Majesty the King to the People's Republic of China, Mr. Aziz Mekouar, reiterated, Thursday, August 11, 2022, the Kingdom of Morocco's adherence to the one-China policy, as the foundation of relations between the two friendly countries.
Mr. Mekouar stressed that this adherence is based on the Kingdom's principled positions, which are characterized by consistency, responsibility, credibility and reliability regarding the respect of national sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of other member countries of the United Nations.
His excellency added that "Morocco continues to support the People's Republic of China on this issue and renews its positions expressed many times, at different levels, both bilaterally and within international organizations,".
Regarding relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China, the Ambassador recalled that Morocco attaches great importance to these relations, stressing that the two countries are committed to strengthening their multidimensional cooperation, through the establishment of an institutionalized strategic partnership to intensify trade, promote investment and create new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in all areas.
