The African press, which notes the warm welcome accorded to king Mohammed VI during his visit to the southern provinces, deems that the royal visit is a "death blow" to those who doubt Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara and a "will not to compromise on kingdom's integrity."

The Democratic Republic of Congo's French-speaking daily "Le Potentiel" stresses that king Mohammed VI's visit is a "death blow" to those who doubt Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara, noting that the populations have renewed their allegiance to the Alaouite throne and to the monarch. They expressed, the daily adds, "their attachment to their motherland and their irreversible belonging to the Moroccan nation."

For the Ivorian daily  "L'Inter," a "month after his tour to several African countries, where the Moroccan king received a clear support from his hosts to the Sahara issue, the sovereign seems determined, more than ever, to settle once and for all this issue."

The huge projects launched by the sovereign, the daily writes, "confirm his will not to compromise on Morocco's territorial integrity, even if he is ready to grant autonomy to the population living in this part of the kingdom," "L'Inter" notes.

Several elements, notes the daily, have practically reduced this movement to “the minimum.”

“Polisario” waged war on Morocco in 1975 claiming the separation of the north African country southern provinces, known as the Sahara, after they were retrieved by the kingdom pursuant to the Madrid accords, signed by Spain, Mauritania and Morocco.

The Senegalese agency “APS” sees in the royal visit to the southern provinces a “will to complete kingdom’s territorial integrity and reach a final solution to the Sahara issue.”

The third visit of the king to the Sahara, since his enthronement, also aims to support Moroccan diplomatic offensive aiming to better explain Morocco’s vision about the Moroccan Sahara artificial conflict,” writes “APS”.
