Morocco’s autonomy proposal to the southern provinces « brings dynamism in the research process of a mutually allowable political and final resolution to this regional conflict which has been lasting for long", wrote recently the Burkina Faso daily «Sidwaya".

“Autonomy of the Moroccan southern provinces would allow the Sahara region to face not only the real challenges and security stakes, but also, and especially, spare this space the calamitous risks of balkanisation and instability «, underlined the newspaper, adding that “it is these dangers that Morocco strives to stave off by offering autonomy as part of its large democratic design”.

By this " participative, inclusive, transparent and popular " approach, Morocco affirms its will to continue abiding by its commitment  to an honest collaboration with the United Nations, through finding a consensual, political resolution gathering serious adherence of all parties truly concerned by the conflict” said the daily.

The newspaper mentioned the large national consultation led by HM the King with all political parties and the representatives of populations, adding that  " to make the synthesis of all proposals ", HM the King has created the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, in March 2006, composed of 140 highly qualified members”.

This authority (Corcas) has provided its opinion on all questions concerning the present and future of the Sahara region. Besides, it constituted a unifier of all tendencies and a credible interlocutor on all questions which concern this region ".

The Publication informed that «Morocco has approved important efforts for development and upgrading of the Saharan provinces, according to a model of united, integrated, participative and benefiting management, mainly for the region’s populations".
