Members of the Convergence and Union party, the President of the local government and Artur Mars and Catalan Popular Party voted against the resolution, which collected approval of minority parties only namely the Socialist Party, the Left Republican Party and the movement of the initiative for a green catalonia with the support of a party of the extreme left.

It should be emphasized that this is not the first time the Parliament of the Autonomous Region of Catalonia rejects hostile resolution on Moroccan Sahara, especially as the majority parties in the Catalan legislative institution support the project in the Sahara which has been hailed by the international community and UN organizations autonomy.

Pro-Polisario associations supported by some parties of the left and extreme left trying to influence public opinion in Catalonia to obstruct any settlement of artificial conflict imposed by Algeria in Morocco that funds and hosts on its territory separatist movement in Tindouf.
