"This resolution has not even been voted after the delegation of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), which took part in this meeting intervened forcefully and conducted sound approaches to the leaders of the IS and several members of the participating delegations, told MAP Habib El Malki, president of the Socialist International Committee on Migration.
Mr. El Malki, who is also Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the USFP, said in this regard that his party has submitted a proposal urging all parties to take joint initiatives to support UN efforts to find an acceptable political solution to the Sahara conflict.
In addition to Mr. El Malki, the delegation of the USFP at the meeting held on June 30 and July 1, was composed of Ms. Ouafa Hajji, President of the Socialist International Women (SIW) and member of the Politburo of the Party and Khadija Slassi, national secretary of women Socialist Organization and Mohamed Benabdelkader, member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Party.
Participants at the meeting had the opportunity to examine a range of issues, including the financial crisis, international conflicts and priority actions for the promotion of democracy, along with the issue of migration.
