According to an article by Wilhelmson, one of the biggest defenders of the Palestinian cause in Sweden that Morocco has proposed broad autonomy proposal in the Southern Provinces under the kingdom’s sovereignty, in order to settle the Sahara issue once and for all.
The author said in an article published by the Swedish media website Arabnyheter this proposal was rejected by Algeria, which controls the Tindouf camps and that "wants access to the entrance to the Atlantic Coast."
He also condemned support to Polisario by "Marxists" and some Swedish left-wing parties, and wondered about the reasons that prevent these parties from the conviction of Algeria's position that hinder any settlement to the Sahara issue.
