Following these discussions, the Minister reiterated, at a joint press briefing, "absolute" support by his country to the Kingdom’s territorial integrity. "We know that the Sahara is Moroccan and will remain Moroccan," said Ben Abdelfattah, adding that it is "a sacred right" of Morocco.

The Comorian Minister said that his country will continue to defend the issue of the territorial integrity of Morocco in regional and international forums.

Ben Abdelfettah further welcomed the "excellent" historical relations between the two countries, expressing gratitude for "continued support" from Morocco to Comoros.

Statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Comoros:

"Without having to study this from a school teacher, we know that the Sahara is Moroccan and will remain Moroccan; it is a sacred right, until doomsday. We will not accept any other solution. We will raise up our voice at the next summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa, to defend the solution proposed by the Kingdom of Morocco and declare that this case is handled hands by the United Nations and Personal Envoy, Mr. Christopher Ross.
