Several members of the Peruvian Congress noted in a recent letter to the President of the UN Security Council their support for Morocco’s territorial integrity.

These deputies, members of Popular Forces and the Christian People's Party, highlighted in this letter to the Permanent Representative of Rwanda at the UN, Eugène-Richard Gasana, whose country is presiding the Security Council during April, diplomatic, cultural and historical relations linking Peru to Morocco, praising the great social and democratic reforms in the kingdom which are widely recognized and supported internationally.

They stressed that the Peruvian Congress has established several years the Moroccan Peruvian-parliamentary friendship group, which comprises 21 members, with the aim to "contribute to strengthening the ties of cooperation with the Moroccan friendly people".
