The operation led by the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) between the Tindouf camps and the southern provinces of the Kingdom, is the twenty-second trip in the year 2012.
According to the Office for the Coordination Moroccan with MINURSO, 24 families consisting of 153 people from the provinces of Laayoune and Smara boarded an aircraft from the airport of Laayoune, and 27 families totaling 154 sequestered in Tindouf camps landed in the same aircraft.
The operation took place in good conditions and all measures have been taken to ensure a warm welcome to the beneficiaries, the statement said.
This new exchange brings the number beneficiaries to 16,284 since the start of this operation in March 2004, including 7713 from the southern provinces and 8,571 from Lahmada camps in Tindouf.
