Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alioune Badara Cissé reiterated his country's support to the Moroccan autonomy plan in the Sahara for a final resolution to a conflict that has lasted more than three decades, reported the Senegalese newspaper le Soleil in its Wednesday edition.

Working for a return of Morocco in the bodies of the African Union is a priority, he said. ''However, we know that this return is antithetical to the admission of Polisario in this entity,'' said the head of the Senegalese diplomacy.

The Senegalese newspaper stresses in this respect Morocco's proposal to give its southern provinces greater autonomy considered as the only solution possible to definitively close the Sahara issue.
