 Mr. Alioune Badra Cisse: "Without Morocco, the African Union is not complete"

 The Senegalese Foreign Minister, Mr. Alioune Badara Cissé, reiterated Monday in Rabat, the clear position of his country in favor of a "Moroccan Sahara" and "the undisputed Moroccan sovereignty" over its southern provinces.




 "The Moroccan sovereignty is indisputable on the southern part of its territory," said the Senegalese foreign minister in a press statement after his talks with Foreign Minister Dr. Saad El Din Otmani, the Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, Karim Ghellab (representatives) and Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah (councilors).

 During the meeting the Foreign Minister of Senegal had with his Moroccan counterpart Saad El Dine Otmani, Mr. Alioune Badara Cisse emphasized the importance of Morocco at the African scale, saying "Without Morocco, the Union Africa is not complete. It is a body with a missing part and cannot go or see far ".

 The exchange covered a range of issues of common interest including the situation in northern Mali, expressing a "broad convergence" of views on the need to redouble efforts to fight against the threats of extremism in the region and for development, he concluded.
