Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri Ould Souilem, one of the sheikhs of the identification process in the camps of Tindouf, joined on Sunday, the mother country, Morocco.

Arrived in Dakhla, Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri Ould Souilem, Chiekh of the tribe of Ouled Dlim, left a few months ago the Tindouf camps and went to Spain before returning to Morocco in response to the call "the homeland is clement and merciful."

After expressing his loyalty to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his commitment "to the allegiance that we inherited from our parents and our ancestors to the rulers of Morocco," he assured in a statement to the MAP that "his return flows from his belief that the only solution to the Sahara conflict is autonomy initiative that offers to Sahrawis the management of their own affairs within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty."

Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri Ould Souilem noted that the Polisario is "a group led by Algeria to perpetuate this problem under the cover of deceptive slogans of self-determination to undermine the integrity of Morocco and serve only the interests of Algerian leaders. "

Referring to the situation in the Tindouf camps, he lamented "the climate of oppression, suffering and insecurity in the camps and the siege imposed on the people," noting that "this situation of tension has exacerbated in recent months and the Polisario multiplies maneuvers fearing popular uprisings against the events that took place in Libya and other Arab countries. "

He mentioned the presence "of criminal and active groups in drug trafficking, weapons and embezzlement of humanitarian aid in the camps that are largely uncontrolled and therefore offer a good place for the development of illicit business "

Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri, who attributed this situation to Algeria and Polisario leaders, sent an urgent appeal "to the international community and Arab brothers to intervene to lift the siege imposed on the residents of the Tindouf camps and allow them to join Morocco under autonomy, the only option able to resolve this conflict that hinders the integration of the Maghreb and the development of the region’s countries. "

He has also praised the progress made in Morocco thanks to the courageous decisions taken by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, citing in this regard the new constitution bringing more democratic reforms in different areas.

For his part, Mr. Abdallah Al-Ghilani, one of the relatives of Mr. Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri Ould Souilem, expressed his joy for the return "of a member of his family and one of sheikhs of the identification process," noting that "the only hope for the people of the Tindouf camps is to return to the motherland, Morocco. "

Born in 1963, Mr. Mohamed Yislem Ould Al-Kouri Ould Souilem, who worked in the training and education sector, was a teacher, inspector and regional manager. He is married and has four children.
