The Polisario is a destabilizing factor in the Sahel-Saharan Region because of its established links with drug traffickers from Latin America and the terrorist network that develops in this area, said in New York, Jose Maria Gil Garre.

Latin American drug cartels have invested in Africa, taking advantage of collusion between drug traffickers and some Latin American groups in the Sahel-Saharan region, including elements of the Polisario said the Director of the Observatory for the International Security and Strategic Studies and chairman of "Eurogroup", based in Murcia (Spain).
