Ould Sidi mouloud experienced all kind of harassment and torture, for having expressed his adhesion to the Moroccan proposal to grant a substantial autonomy to the southern provinces, with a view to turn peacefully the page of the artificial dispute about the Sahara . Following the international campaign led for his liberation , he was kicked out of the Polisario camps and forbidden to join his family at the camps, explained the ICRAC delegate , Aabadila Semlali who was taking the floor during a debate concerning point 4 of the 18th HRC ‘s session
He mentioned that Mr Ould Sidi Mouloud who did nothing but exercise a universal recognized right, that is to say a freedom of speech, lives presently in a tent in Mauritania, waiting to meet up with his family.
As to Najem Allal , he is today oppressed and threatened by the Polisario militia for having refused to use his music defending the separatist ideology, and to praise the polisario officials. To the eyes of these officials he is guilty for having unmasked in his songs the corruption of the Polisario leaders as well as the though reality experienced on daily basis by the population sequestered by the Polisario front, Mr Semlalai recalled.
Mr Semlali has denounced the suffering experienced by the sequestered populations for more than three decades in the camps administered by the Polisario dictatorship and supported by the Algerian army . Thousands of families who live in these camps are deprived from their most basic rights, in violation with the human rights and the international humanitarian rights, he said.
The ICRAC representative, has finally launched an appeal to the council inviting it to intervene urgently to put an end to these violations, give back to both Mustapha Salama and Najem Allal their most basic rights and invite Algeria to stop its support to the Human rights violations taking place in its territory by the Polisario militia
