Sahrawis sequestered in the Tindouf camps, "cannot be an exception in the world. It is the duty of international organizations to intervene to do them justice, put pressure on the authorities responsible for the current tragedy and put an end to this situation," said the Sahrawi activist, Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud.

Sahrawi Militant Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud said that he is determined to continue his open sit-in, which he began on July 1 in front of the UNHCR office in Nouakchott, untill he gets his right to reunite with his family.

Contacted over the phone, following a solidarity protest on Thursday in Casablanca, Ould Sidi Mouloud made it clear that he staged the sit-in to defend his right to the freedom of opinion and the freedom of movement and the right to freely determine his place of residence.

“My children depend on you for their reunion with their father,” he told the participating associations in the solidarity act in Casablanca, deploring the UNHCR carelessness in solving his case.

Touching on the suffering of the Sahrawis held against their will in the polisario-run camps, Ould Sidi Mouloud said that this population “cannot continue to be an exception in the world,” calling for international organizations to intervene to put an end to their tragedy in Tindouf camps (South-western Algeria).
